Jeanette Marie Wilson, 91, of St. Louis, Missouri and formerly of Evansville, Indiana and Granite City, Illinois passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Town and Country, Missouri.
Born April 23, 1934, in Granite City, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Marie (Britt) Sparks.
She married the love of her life, Walter Wilson, on May 10, 1952, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granite City and he passed away on October 21, 1999.
Jeanette was a loving and dedicated homemaker with her family in the center of her life. She loved her family and cherished the special times shared with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her days of decorating and cooking.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Kathie Wilson of Evansville, Brian Wilson of Battlefield, Missouri and Kevin and Janice Wilson of St. Louis; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Wilson of Ozark, Missouri; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Lauren Cattrone, Torrey and Josh Ward, Brik and Gabrielle Wilson, Cole Wilson, Michael Wilson, Hannah and Joe De Rose, Meredith and Remy Edwards, Corbin Wilson and Zoe Wilson; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carolyn “Cookie” and Tom Adamitis of Palm Desert, California and Debbie VanBuskirk of Granite City; nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Doug Wilson; a brother, Thomas Sparks Jr. and a brother-in-law, John VanBuskirk.
In celebration of her life, a memorial visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until time of a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Larry Ridenhour officiating.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
