Jeanette Campbell

Jeanette Campbell, 89, passed away and went to be with the Lord at 9:58am on Monday, May 28, 2018, at her residence. She was born on February 23, 1929, in Wood River, the daughter of the late Howard and Florence (Dyer) McDonough. She married Jack Campbell on October 22, 1948, in Roxana, and he survives. Other survivors include two daughters and sons in law: Pam and Allen Hale of East Alton, Patricia and David Harling of Highland, five grandchildren: Jason Harling, Jessica Hogg and her husband: Brandon, Amy Koch and her husband: Joshua, Jacob Harling, Kristen Hale, six great grandchildren: Carter Koch, Jack Koch, Michael Hogg, Daniel Hogg, Lucas Hogg, Charlotte Hogg, two sisters and brothers in law: Sylvia and Wilson Banks of Normal, Illinois, Joan and Jim Edwards of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her sisters in law: Gladys Kelly, Muriel Scammahorn, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Jeanette was employed at South Roxana Elementary as a 2nd grade teacher for 25 years prior to her retirement in 1991. She was an active member of the Roxana Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed quilting, playing golf, and her monthly adventures with the SR Girls.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister in law: Evelyn Shirley.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 9am until time of services at 11am on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Roxana Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Jay Shoff will officiate. Burial will follow at Moro Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Roxana Church of the Nazarene.
