Jean “Jeanie” Marie Lynn, 75, died under the care of BJC Hospice at Rosewood Care Center at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018.
Born January 14, 1943 in Alton, she was the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Hunn) Brunstein. Jeanie graduated from Marquette Catholic High School and was a secretary for Evangelical School in Godfrey. She enjoyed travelling, boating, camping and fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. On September 21, 1968 she married Gary Edward Lynn in West Alton, MO. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2005.
Surviving is a daughter, Kimberly Fatima (Robert) of Bloomington, IL, a daughter-in-law, Robin Lynn of Bethalto, three grandchildren, Jake Fatima, Ryan Lynn and Grant Fatima. Also surviving are three sisters, Janet Bothe of Wentzville, MO, Judy Steinhoff (Lenny) of Portage Des Sioux, MO, and Mary Beth Kenley (Jim) of Florissant, MO, and two sisters-in-law, Lonna Norman (Jerry) of Dow, IL, and Cheryl Vondrasek (Ken) of Alton.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Brad Lynn and a sister, Nancy Danter.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
Memorials may be made to the BJC Hospice or the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
