Jardenia E Brave, 94, passed away at Michaelson Nursing Home on August 19, 2016 at 5:25am. Born September 6, 1921, in Decatur IL, she is the daughter of the late Thomas and Mamie (McDonald) Mee.
She married Lloyd Brave on February 14, 1944 in Wood River, IL and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2004.
She was a housewife and also a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ for many years.
She is survived by one son, Mark (Paula) Brave of Merritt Island, FL; two daughters, Elizabeth (Dan) Barabolak of Elmhurst, IL; Joyce Berner of South Elgin, IL. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Jenny Pellitier, Jeff Berner, Chris Brave, Angie Brave, Nick Barabolak and Peter Barabolak; 7 great grandchildren, Sophia, Josesph, and Alexander Pelliter; Julia and Benjamin Berner; William and James Brave.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alverta Eppstein and son-in-law, Joseph Berner.
Visitation will be from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, August 24th, 2016 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Services will be at 11 am at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Chapel with Reverend Mick Southcombe officiating. Memorials have been designated to St John’s United Church of Christ. Marks Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
