Janis Marlene Dhue, 89, of Jerseyville, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born on February 19, 1937, in Hardin, the daughter of the late Carl and Mary Elizabeth (Herron) Groppel.
Janis had formerly married three husbands, Raymond Taylor, Cleo Fowler, and Freddie Dhue.
She is survived by two daughters, Katherine (Richard) Wood of Ravensdale, WA and Bobbie (Scott) Watson of Brighton; three sons, Ronald (Laura) Taylor of South Roxana, Donald Taylor of Bethalto, and Jay (Tammy) Taylor of Belleville; brother Harry Groppel of Florida; numerous, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Elizabeth; husbands, Cleo and Freddie; twin sister Janet Masiero.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton, IL. No formal funeral service will be held and cremation will follow services.
Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery at a later date.
