Jane A. Rhodes-Taylor, 87, passed away 6:36 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Maunie, IL on April 25, 1929, she was the daughter of Daniel and Zola (Hatcher) Kilmer.
She had worked as a cook at the South Roxana School for several years before retiring.
In 1949 in Wood River, she married Rolland V. Rhodes, he died in 1996. In 1998, she married Goble Taylor, who died in 2006.
Surviving are a son, Randon (Linda) Rhodes of Wood River; three daughters, Radonna "Dee" (Tim) Vinyard of Edwardsville, Rollene (Ken) Mattingly of East Alton, Rhonda (Brad) Bartel of Dallas, TX; daughter-in-law, Carol Rhodes of Bethalto; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and her twin brother, James Allen Kilmer of Bethalto.
Her parents; husbands; son, Rolland David Rhodes; brother, Daniel Thomas Kilmer; and sister, Ellen Marie Smothers preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Bethalto. Pastor Chip Faulkner will officiate.
Private burial in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Bethalto, where she had been a member.
