James N. Moses, 70, of East Alton, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at 4:42 am at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Jim was born on June 14, 1947 in Alton, IL, the son of Nelson and Edna (Miller) Moses, both have proceeded him in death. He married Kathryn A. Werner on October 17, 1970 in Edwardsville, IL.
Jim retired from Illinois American Water. He was a member of Holy Angels in Wood River. He enjoyed playing pinochle and traveling. Jim loved to go to their place at Golden Eagle.
Jim is survived by 2 children, Eric Moses of Maryland Heights, MO and Amy Moses of Fairview Heights, IL; 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Paul (Mary Ann) Moses of Wood River, Gilbert (Lisa) Moses of Alton, Mary Anne (Ray) Farley of Columbia, IL, Ginger (Ed) Hoekstra of Eureka, IL, and Janet (Jerry) Hall of Rosewood Heights, IL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, with a wake service starting at 4 pm, at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 10 am at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Father Don Wolford officiating.
Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, IL.
