James A. McKenzie, 89, of Shipman, IL, died at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center, Gillespie, IL on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 9:38 am. He was born July 2, 1934, in Hillsboro, IL to George McKenzie & Pearl Boyd McKenzie. He married Yvonne Jeanette (Gray) McKenzie. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2011. He was a minister. He is survived by his sons, Lewis McKenzie of Shipman, IL, James McKenzie of Point Pleasant, WV, grandchildren, Crystal Peper, Sam Boyd, Robert Jett, Candy Jett Roetto, Deanette Jett, Lewis Gray McKenzie, Christina L. McKenzie, Jennifer McKenzie, James McKenzie, Joseph McKenzie, great-grandchildren, Alyshia Peper, Matthew Peper, Bella Boyd and sibling, Erma McKenzie. James was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, daughters, Anita Jans, Juanita Boyd, brothers, George McKenzie and John McKenzie. No services are scheduled.
