James Lee Wilson, 77, passed away at 10:02 a.m. Saturday December 15, 2018 at Missouri Baptist Hospital.
He was born in East St. Louis on July 31, 1941, the son of John J. & Mary Louise (Vollmar) Wilson.
James married Ruth Ann Eichorn on April 15, 1961. She preceded him in death on February 15, 2018.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey, Midwest Air Wing RC Model Club. He loved flying and farming by hand.
James is survived by one son, Dennis (Linda) Wilson; a daughter-in-law, Pearl Wilson; and eight grandchildren, Priscilla, Marjorie, Jayson, Jennifer, Holly, Rachael, Jamie and Thomas Wilson; brother and sister-in-law, John (Martha) Wilson, two sisters, Rosemary Harvey and Pat (Gary) Kruse; and a sister-in-law, Doris Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Wilson; brother, William Wilson, and a brother-in-law, Terry Harvey.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday December 20, 2018 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday December 21, 2018 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Fr. Steve Janoski as celebrant.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
