James L. Sadler, age 62, passed away at 4:36 am Saturday, October 9, 2010 at his residence.
He was born in Alton on July 18, 1948, son of Herbert and Freda (Blevens) Sadler
He married Mary Lacey October 8, 1969 in Alton, and she survives.
James was a crane operator for Laclede Steel Co. for 30 years. He served his county in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the Alton VFW Post 1308.
He is survived by his Wife, one son Neil Sadler of Jerseyville, four grandchildren Ashley, Amber, Cameron and Whitney Sadler, one great granddaughter Lexus Kallal, two sisters Sylvia Sadler and spouse Allen Henderson of Alton, Carolyn and spouse Charlie Mills of Louisville, KY, one brother Karl and spouse Lori Sadler of Alton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Mabel and Angela Sadler, one brother Kenneth Sadler, and one granddaughter Terra Sadler.
Visitation will be Monday October 11, 2010 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Elias Kallal and
Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey and funeral services will be Tuesday October 12, 2010 at 10 am with Rev. Mark Myers officiating.
Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
