James R. Jones, 92, of Wilsonville, IL, died at his residence on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 6:15 am.
He was born June 2, 1933, in Wilsonville, IL to Edward John Jones & Gwendolyn Thomas Jones. He married Mary Hantla Jones on February 9, 1957 at the Pleasant Hill Church in Raymond, IL.
He was a head supervisor for Olin Brass Manufacturer. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. James was a member of the CFU Lodge 217. He coached Little League. James enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Tena M. Cerentano of Wilsonville, IL, grandchildren, Cari (Jeff) Fleming of Staunton, IL, Larissa (Adam) Neighbors of Auburn, IL, Andrew Edmonds, Jr. of Sarasota, FL, great-grandchildren, Emilie, Sean, and Marley Fleming, Madison, Nolan, and Delaney Neighbors, Mason, Reagan, Tyson, and Cody Cerentano.
James was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, daughter, Tammy Edmonds, grandson, Cody Cerentano, siblings, Ruth Williams, Gwen Molinar, Gladys Molinar, Bill Jones and Edward Jones.
A visitation will be held on January 10, 2026 at the Progressive Club in Wilsonville, IL from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a 12:30 pm military honors service.
