James Braden

James Gail Braden, 78, died at 7:40 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Born November 9, 1930 in Alton, he was the son of James R. and Mary A. (Wright) Raeske-Braden. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Surviving is a brother, Jere Braden and his wife Judy of Delavan, IL, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother, Wayne Raeske. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reverend Dan Bowers will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans' Home in Quincy, IL.
