James D. Clowers, 64, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 22, 2016. He died peacefully at his residence in Rapid City, SD.
He was born Nov. 9, 1951 at Wood River Township hospital to Giles Clowers Sr. and Vivian (Sherwood) Clowers.
Jim enlisted in the United States Army and served our country for 17 years. He is a Viet Nam vet as well as a Desert Storm veteran.
He was a millwright by trade, but was very handy at about everything. He got a lot of joy out of helping people who weren't so mechanically inclined.
Surviving is his twin sister Sandra Bennington, along with brothers Giles Clowers Jr., TG Forbes, and Dale Forbes. Sister, Tina Roberts precedes him in death.
Jim had 5 children: Christina Foster, James Clowers II, Joshua Clowers, Francine Clowers, and Shania Clowers. Jim also had 6 grandchildren.
In accordance with Jim's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
