James C. 'Jim' Huff, Jr, 66, of Eldred died on Wednesday evening Jan. 27, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in Carrollton on Dec. 3, 1954, he was the son of the late James C. Huff, Sr. and Loretta Schroeder Huff.
He married the former Kathy Rawe on April 19, 1975 and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter: Christina (Michael) Stanley of Carrollton, a son: Joe Huff of Alton, grandchildren: Jacob Morgan and Amber Morgan, and a brother: Lyndel (Tracy) Huff of Woodson and a sister: Cathy Bednar of Plainfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law: Michael Bednar.
Jim was a graduate of Carrollton High School and longtime custodian for the Carrollton School District #1 retiring several years ago. He also was a long time farmer. Greatly enjoyed being with family and friends, playing cards and games. Always enjoyed eating out. He loved a good joke.
The family will be having a private service due to Covid-19 concerns. The public is invited to a walk thru viewing on Tuesday Feb. 2, 2021 from 3-5 P.M. at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton.
