James Lee Borden, 60, of Granite City, IL, died at 6:04 p.m. Fri. July 18, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family while under hospice care.
He was born Aug. 7, 1964 in St. Louis, MO to the late William Arvis and Mary Margaret Louise (Wickware) Borden.
James worked various jobs and could do most anything. He also handled apartment maintenance and had been an electronics repairman, fixing TVs and VCRs.
On May 13, 1989, he and Lorrie Louise Irmen were married in St. Louis at the Arch. She survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Madelynn “Maddy” (Pete) Rudloff of Edwardsville, IL, 2 grandchildren, Abigail, and Kayla, 2 sisters, Elizabeth Diane Stotts, and Debra Lynn Flores, 2 brothers, William Arvis Borden Jr., and Ronald Gene Borden, and was the beloved Uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, as well as a friend to many.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Patricia Ann Borden, and Wanda Jean Borden, and a brother, Timothy Dale Borden.
