James B. Clark, 80, passed away at 8:23 am on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at home
He was born on June 25, 1938 in Rockbridge, IL the son of John B. & Wilma B. (Burger) Clark.
James married Judith Mihalich on June 5, 1969 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Alton. She survives.
He retired from the Alton School District as a Principal at East Middle School and impacted countless lives with his quick wit, empathetic sense of humor, and wise council. He was an avid reader and was able to finish a good book in just a few hours. He was a member of the Alton Knights of Columbus, Godfrey Lion?s Club and the Future Farmers of America.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by three sons and daughters-in-law and a daughter and son-in-law, Jon & Cindy Clark of Godfrey, IL Betsy & Jason Clayton of Godfrey, IL, Chris & Meghan Clark of Pittsburgh, PA, and Peter & Sophia Clark of Erie, PA; thirteen grandchildren, Eliza and Stuart Clark, Katelyn, Douglas, and Jackson Clayton, Jack Clark, Baylee, Isabel, Avery, Michaela, Sadie, Asher and Saraphina Clark.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey
Cremation will follow and Inurnment will be private at St. Joseph?s Cemetery in Alton, IL
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, America Diabetes Association, or Jerseyville Manor Bounce Back Program Medical Equipment Fund.
