Jackie Carlisle

Jackie Wayne "Jack" Carlisle, 50, formerly of Hartford, passed away at 6:52 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, with his family by his side at Alton Memorial Hospital.  He was born on November 3, 1960, in Wood River, Illinois the son of Charles and Mary L. (Murphy) Carlisle Sr. of East Alton. 

He married the former Linda Stacy on January 4, 1980 in Wood River, they later divorced and she survives in Bethalto.  Other survivors include three daughters and sons in law: Stacy and Robby Kelly of Roxana, Kristen and Tim Shive of Bethalto, Stephanie and Rickey Carriker of Wood River, five grandchildren: Clint, Hunter, Dalton, Kiera, and Kaegen, one brother and sister in law: Charles "Charlie" and Becky Carlisle Jr. of Hamel, Illinois, and one sister: Debbie Carlisle, a dear uncle: Ronnie, a special aunt: Margie, a special friend: Judy Newton, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.


He was an avid fisherman and coon hunter.  He loved coaching all types of sports and in recent years was an umpire at 6th Street Park.  He was preceded in death by a sister: Sherry Green.


Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. 

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the funeral home.  Rev. Betty Carlisle will officiate.  Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.

Memorials are suggested to his daughters: Stacy, Kristen, and Stephanie and will be accepted at the funeral home.
