Jack Buehne

It is with profound sadness that the family of Jack D. Buehne announces his  passing after a brief illness on Saturday, September 22nd at the age of 89.

A native of Centralia, Illinois, Jack was born on September 2, 1929 to Joseph Ella (Seeds) Buehne. He was one of fifteen children. He was preceded in death by his parents and all but one of his siblings, including his twin sister Jacqueline Buehne Prosise.

Jack joined the United States Navy in 1948 and served aboard the USS Yellowstone until 1952. In 1956 he married his bride of 62 years, Rosalee Hinton. He worked as a machinist at McDonnell Douglas for 36 years, retiring in 1989.

Jack loved bowling and for many years participated in two leagues. He never achieved a perfect game, but came close many times.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Rosalee and his two girls; Judy Johnson (Jim) and Jeanne Wuellner (Kem), his grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Kristen (Andrew) Arra, Amy, Adam, and Michael Wuellner and Katie (Paul) Krueger; his great grandchildren Evelyn Funk, Jonah and Samuel Krueger and soon to be born great-grandson; and his sister Aileen.

The viewing and service will be held at Church of the Master, 1325 Paddock Dr., in Florissant, MO on Friday, September 28th. Viewing will be from 10am until time of funeral at 12pm. A private burial will follow the service.

Memorial donations in Jack?s Honor may be made to Church of the Master United Church of Christ, BJC Hospice, or the Make-a-Wish of Southern Illinois.
