Iris I. Phleger, 87, died Friday, June 17, 2016.
Born Oct. 20, 1929 in Marine, Ill., she was one of twin daughters of Earl and Elsie (Pohl) Phleger.
Iris graduated from Alton High School in 1948, going on to graduate from Central Cosmetology School in 1950. In February of 1950, Iris along with her sister Inez, opened The Twins Beauty Shop in Fosterburg, where they had many loyal clients and friends until closing in 2009. She was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church.
Iris is survived by her twin sister, Inez Phleger of Fosterburg; and two cousins, Dennis Pohl of Marine and R.J. Pohl of Champaign, Ill.
