Irene May Woosley, 89, passed away 6 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Jersey Community Hospital.
Born on March 7, 1927 in Scott Co., IL, she was the daughter of John and June (Lane) Killebrew.
Irene was a clerical secretary for AT&T for over 30 years before retiring in 1992. She enjoyed baking cakes, fishing and playing cards.
On September 2, 1949 in Arkansas, she married Donald F. Woosley. He died May 30, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Brett Woosley of St. Louis, MO; daughter, Pamela (Keith) Downing of Jerseyville; and two granddaughters, Hannah Woosley and Alicia Downing.
Her parents; husband; brother, Harold Killebrew; and twin sister, Ilene Ursch preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 19 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Tony Nickles will officiate.
Burial will follow in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God Church in East Alton, where she had attended.
