Ileen Compton

Ileen L. Compton, 82, passed away at 1:10 am on Wednesday August 31, 2016 at home.Ileen was born on February 7, 1934 in Woodburn, IL, the Daughter of the late Grover and Matilda (Baker) Iler.She married the late Lloyd Compton on April 17, 1953 in Alton.She is survived by two daughters Kathy (Ricky) Cox of Alton and Barbara Grant of Alton; eight grandchildren, Shane Cox of Alton, Marc (Hsin) Cox of Texas, Tori (Jason) Walls of Missouri, Kyle (Eleana) Cox of Arizona, Marissa (Perry) Baker of Worden, Katie Bornes of South Roxanna, Niki Bornes of Colorado, and Kelli Bornes of Alton; fifteen great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and spouse she was preceded in death by six sisters and a great grandson Reilly Cox.Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm Friday September 2, 2016 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Funeral service will be at 10 am Saturday September 3, 2016 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with Chaplain Marc Lane officiating.Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Godfrey.Memorials may be directed to Treehouse Wildlife or HOPE Rescue.  Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
