Ihnasia Shavon Lee, born on November 17, 2004, in Elyria, Ohio, to Camille Wise and Ira Lee, passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 21.
From a very young age, Ihnasia had a remarkable gift for touching the hearts of everyone she met. She carried warmth and compassion into every interaction, and made friends wherever life took her. She had a profound way of making the people around her feel seen and safe.
Ihnasia was the kind of friend, sister, and daughter anyone would be grateful to have in their lives. Never judgmental and always protective of those she loved, Ihnasia led by example and she instinctively made others feel welcome and safe. Exceptionally intelligent and quick-witted, Ihnasia approached everything she did with determination and an admirable work ethic. Above all, she was deeply devoted to her family, her friends, and her community.
A true free spirit, Ihnasia lived her life fiercely and unapologetically. Her coworkers affectionately nicknamed her “Baby Vampire,” a fitting tribute to her love of Halloween and horror movies. She enjoyed playing video games, spending quiet evenings curled up on the sofa watching TV with her family, and connecting with other people. Animals seemed naturally drawn to her gentle nature, often approaching her as if they sensed a friend. She especially cherished her beloved cats, Jynx and Chewie.
Ihnasia is survived by her mother, Camille Wise; her father, Ira Lee; her grandmother, Shawne Silas-Mason; her grandfather, Calvin Wise; her sisters, Rihanna and Cairi; her brother, Kamdon; her step-up-father, Gordon Williams; her best friends, Xavier Judkins and Emily Slaby; as well as many extended family members and countless friends who will forever miss her vibrant spirit and her loving heart.
A celebration of Ihnasia’s life will be held at Irwin Chapel in Granite City on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
Though her time here was far too short, the love, laughter, and kindness Ihnasia shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
