Ida Lopez

Ida M. Lopez, 81, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at her home in Bethalto.She was born on June 29, 1935, in East Alton, Illinois, the daughter of James and Della (Kitson) Russell.Ida was a member of the Cottage Hills VFW Ladies Auxiliary and New Witness Fellowship Church in Meadowbrook. She enjoyed going fishing and dancing, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.Survivors include her children and their spouses, Edna Guerrero of Airway Heights, Washington, Jewel and Donna Andrews of O’Fallon, Missouri, Lawrence and Debbie Andrews of Hawk Point, Missouri, Arthur and Christy Andrews of Bethalto; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and twenty great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Lillian Schollmeyer; her second and third husband, Herman A. Cunningham and Bob Lopez; two brothers, Arthur Russel and David Russell; and one sister, Winnie Pool.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, April 24. 2017, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Service will begin at 11 am on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Smith officiating.Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners Hospitals or Children.Online condolences can be given at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
