JERSEYVILLE-  Homer Jay Huff, 54, died at 6:49 a.m, Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.He was born in Carrollton on Nov. 16, 1960, and was the son of Leslie Eugene "Whitey" and Katherine (Wittig) Huff.He was employed in the construction trade the majority of his life, and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.Surviving are his mother, Katherine Huff of Jerseyville; a son, Adam Huff of Jerseyville; three sisters & a brother in law, Clara & Mike Price of Greenfield, Jeanne Adams of Jerseyville, and Debbie Huff of Oxford, Ms.; two brothers & sisters in law, Curtis & Debbie Huff of Oxford, Ms., and Sam & Cheryl Huff of Chesterfield; along with many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynne (Handling) Huff; and his father, Leslie "Whitey" Huff.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday.  Father William Hembrow will officiate.Burial will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Fidelity.Memorials may be given to his family in care of the funeral home.
