Helen Cox

Helen M. Cox, age 81, of Alton, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017, at Willow Rose Rehabilitation and Health Care in Jerseyville with her family by her side.She was born November 30, 1935, in Alton, the daughter of Ora A. and Leona (Reid) Wood. She married Robert G. Cox on July 15, 1951 in Alton, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ora E. (Eddie) Wood, and an infant daughter-Jill.Helen was a beloved daughter, a honored mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all her love her.She is survived by three children and their spouses, John  and Carla Cox of Harvester, MO, Teresa and Wayne Maple of Godfrey, IL, and Bobby and Darlene Cox of Alton, IL; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and Dave Price,  Heidi and Nick Landon, Kylie and Tom Walrath,  Matthew and Melissa Cox, Jennifer Cox, Millie Maple, and Maddie Maple ; and four great-grandchildren, Kyler Landon and Elem Price, and Jackson and Reid CoxNo services will be held per her wishes. Cremation rites will be accorded.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.  Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of the arrangements
