Helen Louise Baldridge, 95, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home. Born September 21, 1922 in Cypress, IL, she was the daughter of Leslie and Dossie (Jones) Mason. Mrs. Baldridge was a member of the Whitelaw Avenue Baptist Church and retired from the Olin Corporation after 40 years of service. On November 1, 1942 she married Paul Baldridge. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1982. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Bertha Baldridge of Godfrey and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Reverend Richard Newcom will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the Whitelaw Avenue Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
