Helen Elizabeth Smith 94, of Alton, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 12:55p.m.
Helen was a member of St. Mary's Church in Alton.
She married Lewis Bernard Bensman on September 13, 1947 he preceded her in death on March 15, 1972. She then married Ray R. Smith in June 1976 he also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children Connie (Bob) Bond of Fosterburg, Mary Sue (Jesse) Logsdon of South Roxana, Andrew "Andy" (Ann) Bensman of Fosterburg, James (Claire) Bensman of Hannibal, MO, Jeffrey (Peggy) Bensman of Brighton; 9 grandchildren Elizabeth Wells, Sara Wheeler, Christopher Logsdon, Ryan Bensman, Elise Bensman, Nick Bensman, Jared Bensman, Maria Bensman, Julie Bond; and great grandchildren, Jonathan Wells, Josie Wells, Jacob Mudge, Lauren Mudge.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 4 siblings
