Helen Clifft

Helen P. Clifft, 95, of Brighton, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 12, 1928, in Camden, TN, the daughter of the late Milton and Muriel (Pafford) Holland.

Helen married Hobert Clifft in January of 1945. He preceded her in death in May of 1980.

She was a cook at Woody’s Fried Chicken in Alton for 50 years.  Helen gave her life to Jesus in her 20’s after a battle with Tuberculosis. She was of Pentecostal faith and devoted her life to serving the Lord.

Helen is survived by three children Sheila (Mark) Hallgren, Deborah (Bob) Bott, and Mark (Kathy) Clifft all of Brighton; seven grandchildren Robbin Tedeschi, Becky Wilson, Stephen (Anita) Hallgren, Jonathan (Deanna) Hallgren, Christine (Greg) Whitehead, Jackie (Nate) Cooper, and Holly (Rodrigo) Camacaro; twenty-one great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Channa Anderson; two grandchildren Sherrie Snell and Jennifer Clifft; six siblings.

Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton.
