Helen Aubuchon

Helen Laura Aubuchon, 89, passed away peacefully at 5:12 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Cedarhurst Senior Living in Wentzville, Missouri. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, family and friendship.

She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on October 19, 1936 and was the daughter of Arthur Edward and Laura (Cheveraux) Newhouse.

She married her high school sweetheart, Earl Aubuchon on November 6, 1954 in Berkeley, Missouri. Together, they have shared nearly 72 years of marriage, raised their family, and had the joy of watching it grow through generations.

Faith and family were at the heart of Helen's life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family deeply. Her Catholic faith was an instrumental part of who she was, and she faithfully served her parish as an Eucharistic Minister and Lector.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Earl Aubuchon; a daughter, Jeanette Aubuchon; a son, David Aubuchon; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) Coleman, Laura O'Keefe, Kimberly Gaus, and Jeremy Aubuchon; great grandchildren, Skylar Coleman, Gabin Pusateri, Connor Gaus, Clayton Gaus, Delaney Gaffney, Kinley Gaffney, and Everley O'Keefe.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Marie McElroy; and a great grandson, Hayden Pusateri.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father Martin Smith officiating.

She will be laid to rest in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Jerseyville.

Memorials may be given to St. Vincent DePaul Society, in care of the funeral home.

Helen was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Her family will carry her memory forward through the stories they share, the traditions they continue, and the faith and love she passed on to generations. May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of God, reunited with those she loved who went before her.
