Hazel Breitwiser

Hazel J Breitwiser, 86, of Shipman passed away at 11:53 pm on Tues June 5, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. She was born on Jan 20, 1932 in Roodhouse, IL to John D & Edith M (White) Ahern.She was a devoted Mother who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and sister.She married Fred Howerton Jr on June 6, 1947 in St Louis, MO. He passed away on March 24, 1982. She married Kenneth C Breitwiser on March 27, 1992 in Shipman, IL. He passed away on May 26, 2017.She is survived by sons & daughter in law: John & Tamara Howerton of Germantown Hills, IL, Henry Howerton & Brenda Harms of Shipman and Terry Breitwiser of Chicago, daughters & sons in laws: Carol & Harold Finn of Murray, KY, Alice & Ron Hamp of Shipman, Bette & David Price of Chesapeake, VA, Kathy & Mark Schaefer of Shipman, 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and sister: Delores Bowman of Godfrey.She was a member of the Shipman United Methodist Church, Martha’s Food Pantry and Kitchen Klatter Band.She was retired from Olin Corp.She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, and sons: Richard, Thomas and Dennis Howerton.   Visitation will be 5-8 pm Fri June 8, 2018 at Targhetta & Wooldridge F H in Shipman  Funeral Services will be 10 am Sat June 9, 2018 at the Shipman United Methodist Church with Rev Toby Curtwright officiating       Burial will be in the Shipman Cemetery.   Memorial may be made to the Shipman United Methodist Church
