Harry Greene

Harry E. Greene, of Belleville, IL, born Thursday, September 23, 1954, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026 at his residence in Belleville, IL.

Harry retired from Whiteside School after teaching in the community for 38 years. He was a graduate on SIUE and a member of Queen of Peace Church in Belleville, IL. Volunteer usher at Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville, IL. He served as the Assistant Basketball Coach at Althoff Catholic High School, Belleville East, SWIC, St. Mary’s, St. Anthony’s, and Whiteside. Harry finished his coaching career with a state championship at Althoff Catholic High School.

Harry valued his family above all else. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and son. He was also a doting father to his beloved fur companion Legend. He will be remembered for his loving nature, his passion for sports, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met.

Visitation: Visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.

Services: Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Gerald Montroy officiating. Interment on Monday at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
