Harry Ralston

Harry E. “Gene” Ralston, 73, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at St. Louis University Hospital.He was born June 17, 1943, in East Alton, Illinois, the son of Harry and Mamie (Costello) Ralston.Harry married Alice Joyce Hooper on August 29, 1966, in Midway, Illinois. She survives.He was a mechanic for Wells Schmidt for 10 years prior to retirement. Harry was a veteran of the United States Army.In addition to his wife, survivors include three children, Brian Ralston of Cottage Hills, Melissa and Chuck Bishop of East Alton, John and Sara Gomer of Missouri; two sisters, Joyce Wrigley, Sue Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents.Cremation rites have been accorded.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto is in charge of arrangements.Memorials may be made to 5 A’s.An online condolence and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
