Harry Nevlin

Harry Anthony Nevlin III, (Buddy) 56, died at 6:48 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at his home in Alton.  Born June 10, 1961 in Alton, he was the son of Harry A. Nevlin Jr. and Alice Jane (Brown) Nevlin.  Buddy worked for Norman Bros.  Barge Company for several years before becoming a machine operator for Fabrication Specialists for the last 15 years.  He loved fishing, shooting pool, cars, trucks and motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson.  He was an avid St. Louis Blues Hockey and St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan.  Surviving is a son, Timothy Nevlin (Ashley Profer) of Highland, IL, three grandchildren, Chloe Nevlin, Ethan Hubbs, and Dagan Hubbs, three sisters, Kathryn Oseland (Dennis) of Alton, Susan Whitlock (Christopher) of Cottage Hills, and Julia Nevlin of Alton.  Also surviving are three nephews, Jordan Clark, Nicholas Clark, and Charley Whitlock, one niece, Olivia Whitlock and several great nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 with Reverend David Olson officiating.  Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery.  Additional information and online guest book may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
