Harold Marvin Sullivan Jr., 80, of Dorsey, Illinois, passed away on August 3, 2023. He was born on July 13, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Harold Marvin Sullivan Sr. and Anna Marie Elenor (Mary) (Schlarman) Sullivan.
Harold, known to his loved ones as a loving, fun, adventurous, helpful, giving, and considerate person, will be deeply missed by his family and friends.He is survived by his daughter Dawn (Sullivan) Underwood of Florida, sons John Sullivan of Washington and Jason Sullivan of Tennessee, son-in-law Kevin Wattelet of Missouri, grandsons Bradly Sullivan of Illinois, Riley Williams of Missouri, Brandon Underwood of Florida, granddaughter Trinity Williams of Missouri, and sister Shirley (Sullivan) Cutright of Virginia.Harold is preceded in death by his daughter Debra (Sullivan) Williams-Wattelet of Missouri, brother Vester Sullivan of Arkansas, grandson Barrett Underwood of Florida.Harold's life was filled with numerous accomplishments and experiences. He graduated from McClure High School in 1962 and went on to have a successful career as a Precision Tool grinder/Machinist at McDonald Douglas from 1962 to 1996. In his free time, Harold enjoyed being a Boy Scout Master of Troop 103 of Bethalto where he was awarded Wood Badge beads, reading, golfing, riding motorcycles, attending Rock a Billy Revival performances, hunting, camping, and going on float trips.Memorials will be held on Friday, August 25, and Sunday, August 27, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Eulogy readings will start at 6:00 pm both days. They will be held at Camp Warren Levis at 5500 Boy Scout Ln., Godfrey, IL 62035.Harold Sullivan Jr. will forever be remembered for his kind-hearted nature, zest for life, and dedication to his family and community. May his soul rest in peace.
