Harold “Harry” Elmer Odle, Jr., 77, of Litchfield, passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones on the morning of Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Harry was born in Litchfield on January 7, 1949, the oldest son of Harold Elmer Odle, Sr. and Mildred Jeannette “Gig” (Booher) Odle. He graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1967 and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married the former Susan Jane Weller on April 13, 1973, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. They enjoyed fifty-three years of marriage.
Harry was employed with Litchfield Creamery/Milnot for several years and later as a material handler for the Olin Corporation in Alton. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, VFW Post 3912, Litchfield Moose Lodge 1634, and Eagles Arie 4499. Harry was an avid golfer, enjoyed baseball, and most sports in general. He was fiercely proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports. One of his best memories was going on an “Honor Flight” with this stepfather, Warren Fraley.

Grandchildren, Carson (Izik) SanMiguel, Courtney (Amanda) Pingleton, Clayton Harbaugh, Caitlynn Harbaugh, Aiden Manley, Olivia Odle, and Jacob Odle
Great-grandchildren, Colson Trimble, Scarlett SanMiguel and Summit Pingleton.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Warren C. Fraley, an infant son, and a grandson, Brenden Manley.
Funeral services for Harry will be held at noon on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Rev. Roy Eller of New Hope Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The family asks that those attending the visitation and service wear golf attire to honor Harry’s memory. A dinner for family and friends will be held at the Litchfield Moose Lodge.
