Harold Naylor

Harold Naylor, 96, passed away at 5:47am on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Evelyn’s House. He was born on April 24, 1922, in Alton, the son of the late Harry and May (Lemmon) Naylor. He married Angel Ternaprovich on February 14, 2012, in Belleville, and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter and son in law: Patricia and John Niemeyer of Richwoods, Missouri, two sons and a daughter in law: Timothy and Lisa Naylor of Brighton, Blake Naylor of Union, Missouri, seven grandchildren, several great – grandchildren, several great – great grandchildren, one sister: Virginia Saylor of Alton, a brother and sister in law: Melvin and Rosalee Naylor of Godfrey, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Harold was employed as a used car manager at Hutton Ford for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of House of Victory Church in Cottage Hills. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served from 1943 to 1945. He was a former member of the Wood River VFW Post #2859.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Margaret Lucille Naylor and a son: Larry Naylor.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 10am until time of funeral services at 11am on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Tim Naylor will officiate. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.

Memorials are suggested to Evelyn’s House and will be accepted at the funeral home.
