Haley Faye Hazelwonder, 15, died at 5:14 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield from injuries she sustained in a boating accident.

She was born in Jerseyville at 11:34 p.m., on Aug. 29, 1994, and was the daughter of Eric Wayne & Kari Sue (Morris) Hazelwonder.

She attended Grafton Grade School, and had just completed her sophomore year at Jersey Community High School.  She had participated in basketball since the fourth grade, and was currently a member of the Lady Panthers Basketball team.  She enjoyed anything associated with the outdoors, and especially enjoyed boating, fishing, four wheeling, and camping.

Surviving are her mother & stepfather, Kari & Matt Klopfer of Godfrey; her father & step mother, Eric & Carrie Hazelwonder of Jerseyville; two brothers, Hayden Crone & Matthew Klopfer both of Godfrey; a stepsister, Ellie Baiers of Jerseyville; two stepbrothers, Isaac and Tyler Baiers both of Jerseyville; her grandparents, Pam & Bill Dilks of Grafton, Dennis "PaPa" and Josephine Morris of Grafton, Sharon Hazelwonder of Jerseyville, Dennis & Donna Fry of Jerseyville and Michael & Debbie Klopfer of Alton; great grandparents, Leroy & Connie Gettings of Grafton, Shirley Morris of Grafton, Kate Ward of Jerseyville, and Phyllis Fry of Jerseyville; and many aunt, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceding her in death was a grandfather, Anthony Hazelwonder; and her great grandparents, Roman & Rita Beiermann, Frank & Bernice Hazelwonder, Delton "Bud" Morris,and Marie Klopfer.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father William Hembrow and Rev. Sonny Renken officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Noble Cemetery in Otterville.

Memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.?
