Alton--Gregory Stephen Ruttger, 66, passed away February 27, 2017 at his home.

 He was born May 22, 1950 in Brainerd, MN to Max “Buzz” Ruttger Jr., and Carol (Johnson) Ruttger. 

A graduate of the University of Minnesota and member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Greg worked for Kienstra Concrete in Wood River for several years.  He was most recently employed at Midwest Block & Brick in Bridgeton, Mo.  He loved spending time in the summer at Lake of the Ozarks on the boat he loved, and in the winter, he loved watching football at home.

He is survived by two sisters, Cynthia (Bob) Lennie of Chanhassen, MN and Anne (Terry) Neafie of Elm Grove, WI.  He also will be sadly missed by his significant other of more than 20 years, Donna Brigman, her daughter, Lisa Tucker, and their extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Max “Rocky” Ruttger III.

A celebration of Greg’s life will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at Sports Cafe, 3579 Pennridge Dr., Bridgeton, MO 63044.  Family and Friends are invited.
