Gloria Jean Price,59 departed this world Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Missouri Baptist Hospital with her family by her side.
Gloria was born January 26, 1956 in Caruthersvile, Missouri to union of the late Willie L. Shaw and Lillie V. Warren. She was reared and loved by her stepfather and mother, the late Ruffin and Lillie Smith. She attended and graduated from Alton Senior High School.
Ms. Price was employed at Olin Corporation until her retiring. Professing a hope in Christ at an early age remained evident as she served in the choir and as a faithful member at the Unity Fellowship Church. Gloria loved: spending time with family and friends, sewing, and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father.
Left to cherish fond memories: 2 sons, Dedrick, Sr.(Saphina) Cowley and Anthony Cottrell, Jr. all of Alton; 6 grandchildren, Quez’tion, Ja’Qafion, De’vontre, Ded’Rionna, Dedrick, Jr., and Demarkus; and 1 great grandchildren, Jayden; 3 brothers, Pastor Larry (Chin Sun) Smith, Terry Smith, and Charles Smith; 3 sisters, Pat Jordan, Wanda Smith, and Brenda Tuggle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will convene Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 9 until time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Unity Fellowship Church. Interment will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.
