Gloria Jean (Huff) Lenington, 71, died at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her residence.She was born in Macoupin County, Illinois on Sept. 1, 1943, and was one of eleven children born to the late George Otto & Beulah (Moore) Huff.Gloria was a caregiver by nature, and was employed with various nursing homes throughout the area for many years.  She worked at Garnet's Chateau in Jerseyville for many years, and most recently worked in housekeeping at Robings Manor in Brighton for over 20 years, retiring several months ago.She first married Harry Delbert Plummer, and together they had three sons.  She then married Clarence Leon Lenington on May 21, 1988 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Jerseyville and they shared nearly 15 years before his death on Feb. 14, 2003.Surviving are her three sons, Ron Plummer, and his fiance' Margaret Daiker of Rockbridge, Billy Joe Plummer, and his companion, Melba Gunning of Rockbridge, and James Plummer, and his companion, Becky Moreland of Greenfield; five step children, Larry Lennington of Jerseyville, Sherry Lenington of Carrollton, Doug Lenington of Medora, Randy Lenington of Arizona, and Rita Cummings of Dow; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Stone of Chesterfield and Donna Huff of Alton; four brothers, Frank Huff of Medora, Dean Huff of Jerseyville, Charles Huff and Donald "Perk" Huff both of Medora.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis "George" Huff and Leslie "Whitey" Huff; and two sisters, Della Heater and Mary Plummer.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday.  Father William Hembrow will officiate.Burial will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Fidelity.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to her family in care of the funeral home.
