Glenna M. Kirbach, 77, died at 1:08 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born May 22, 1932 in Greenfield, IL, she was the daughter of Glen and Grace (Hillis) Morrow. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1950 and married Robert E. Kirbach on June 10, 1950. Glenna was a homemaker and enjoyed working as a retail clerk at Snyder’s Department Store where she retired from in 1984. She took great pride in her vegetable gardens and her roses through the years. She and Bob enjoyed camping and wintering in Florida and later in Texas until his death on April 30, 2005. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Gray and husband Gary of Godfrey and son, Kirby Kirbach and wife Cindy of Alton, four grandchildren; Holly Miller and husband Chris of Batavia, IL, April Buel and husband Kevin of Godfrey, Robert "Rob" Kirbach and wife Julie of Alton and David Kirbach of Alton, five great grandchildren; Trinity Buel, Willow Buel, Ella Kirbach, Heather Miller and Wesley Buel.
She is also survived by two brothers; Leland Morrow and wife Lois and Russell Morrow and wife Eileen all of Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, one grandson, Christopher Kirbach and two brothers; Richard and Robert Morrow.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Upper Alton Baptist Church. Reverend Brad Donoho will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Greenfield, IL.
