Glenda L. Sandbach, 76, of Bethalto, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at her residence under the care of BJC Hospice.
She was born on January 19, 1942 in Alton, IL, daughter of James "Bill" and Cleo (Norder) Steehlinger, both preceded her in death. She married John W. Sandbach on November 3, 1962 in Bethalto. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1989.
Glenda enjoyed painting, sewing, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Glynis (Calvin) Sebastian; a son and daughter in law, Dirk (Cheri) Sandbach; two grandchildren, Mynda Sebastian and Trisha Nickens; several great and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Janice Bornes and Lisa Doubet and loved by many nieces and nephews.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Alan Steehlinger.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 9:30 am until time of service at 11:00 am, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Rev. Calvin Reynolds officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
