Glenda Alberta Jeffreys, 97, passed away 12:56 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Integrity Healthcare of Wood River.
Born on August 4, 1919 in Marquand, MO, she was the daughter of Ester Homer and Sarah Francis (Stephens) Mouser.
She had worked as a Cap Operator for the Olin Corporation before retiring.
On November 2, 1947 in East Alton, she married Roy A. Jeffreys. He died February 3, 1969.
Surviving are a son, Michael (Karen) Jeffreys of Bethalto; daughter, Nancy (Ritch) Alexander of Granite City; two grandchildren, Malloric Jeffreys, Matthew (Angel) Armstrong; and a brother, Elmer Mouser of Marquand, MO.
Preceding in death were his parents; three brothers, Wilson, Roy and Webb Mouser; and a sister, Essie Whitner.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m, Sunday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Rev. Charles West will officiate.
Burial will follow in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
