Geraldine "Gerry" Marie Davis, 79, passed away 11:25 a.m., Monday, December 4, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Wood River on March 3, 1938, she was the daughter of Ira Virgil and Emma (Prout) Carroll.
A homemaker, she was active in the First United Methodist Church in Wood River for many years as a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher and youth sponsor. She attended East Alton United Methodist Church until her health began to fail.
On March 2, 1957 in Wood River, she married James E. Davis. He died January 31, 1938.
Surviving are a son, Kevin (Carol) Davis of Maryville, TN; daughters, Deborah (Dennis) Becker and Cheryl Davis all of Wood River; and three grandchildren, Kevin and James Davis and Liinsey Becker.
Her parents; husband; three brothers, George and Robert Carroll, Donniie Sanders; and two sisters, Mary Powell and Dorothy Schessel preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Thursday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
