Gerald Martin Wyde, age 84 passed away on Thursday December 4, 2025 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born on July 14, 1941 in Monticello, NY to Leon and Harriett (Cutler) Wyde.
Gerald married Mary Jo Sanfillippo in 1966 in Monticello, NY, and she proceeded him in death in 2011.
He enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was known for loving animals and being a very generous man.
After serving in the U.S. Navy, Gerald was a self-employed over-the-road truck driver for 50 years before retiring.
He is survived by two brothers; Phillip Wyde of Houston, TX and Steven Wyde of Raleigh, NC.
Per his wishes there will be no services and cremation rites will be accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Alton Area Animal Aid Association (5A's).
