Gerald (Jerry) Wayne Nimerick, 74, passed away on February 28, 2016. He was born in Hamburg, Illinois on January 9, 1942 to James and Eilene Nimerick.
Jerry served in the United States Air Force, from 1960 to 1964. Following his military service, Jerry studied Engineering at University of Texas at Arlington and went to work as an Electrical Engineer at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth for over 30 years. In January of 1987 he married his beloved wife, Michele Ann in Jefferson, Texas. He was a cherished brother, husband, father and grandfather that enjoyed RV travel, wood working, spending time outdoors, lending a helping hand and most of all, time with his grandchildren. He was friendly to everyone he met, a stranger to none and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Michele Nimerick; sister, Janice Martin and family of Jerseyville, Illinois; ex-wife Pat Nimerick of Fort Worth; son, Greg Nimerick and wife Selena of Singapore; daughter, Jenny Nimerick-Ellenbogen M.D. and husband David of Georgetown; grandchildren; Sydney, Annabelle, Marc and Sasha; step-daughter Catherine Warren of Omaha, Nebraska; step-daughter Melissa Warren and husband Russell of Fort Worth and step-son James Warren of Fort Worth; Grandchildren Emily, Brianna, Ryan, Colin, Joseph, A time of visitation will be held on March 12, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown. 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78633.
