Gerald Leo Corrigan, 91, passed away on June 2, 2026 in Alton, IL.
He was born on December 9, 1934 in Quincy, IL to Loren and Iva (Carpenter) Corrigan.
He attended Abundant Life Church in Godfrey, IL. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of Alton VFW Post 1308, where he tended bar for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid painter, generously sharing his work with others.
He is survived by his children, Dennis Corrigan of Alton, IL, Kelly Brooke of Wood River, IL, and Kevin Corrigan of Caseyville, IL; sister, Martha Cannedy of Godfrey, IL; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Shannon Corrigan and Michael Corrigan.
Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey is assisting the family with final wishes and no services will be held at this time.
Memorials are suggested to a Veteran’s charity of one’s choice.
