Georgeanne Stevens, 83, passed away at Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Born Feb. 12, 1940 in Alton, she was a daughter of Dr. Felix W. and Georgia R. (Hale) Sokolowski.
She married William R. Stevens, Jr. on March 24, 1969 in East Alton. He preceded her in death Apr. 7, 2011.
Georgeanne had a love of children, and she enjoyed babysitting her grandkids and the neighborhood kids that she loved as her own.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Stevens, Michael Stevens of Wood River, and Billy (Shannon) Stevens of East Alton; her grandchildren, Justin Stevens, William R. Stevens, IV, and Jordan Chang; and two brothers, Danny and Jim Sokolowski.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Hansen.
Visitation for friends and family will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 at Paynic Home for Funerals.
