George Schlotter

Cottage Hills—George M. Schlotter, 65, passed away at 12:57 a.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017 at his home.

Born May 27, 1951 in St. Louis, Mo., he was a son of William Maxwell and Florence (Mandrell) Schlotter.

“Brother George” was a self-employed mechanic for many years, running his own shop locally as well as in Missouri.  He would help anyone who needed assistance.  He was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in Rosewood Heights and the Christian Motorcycle Association.

Survivors include two brothers, Freddie Schlotter of Missouri and Norman Schlotter, Sr. of Texas; a sister, Wilma Burkett of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Wanda Schlotter and Jenny Fosnock; and a brother, Billy Mandrell.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. until services begin at 10:30 a.m. at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.  His good friend and pastor, Rev. Royce Roy will officiate.

Committal services will be at 2:30 p.m. at Lane Cemetery near Linn, Mo.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Pentecostal Church.
