George William Lindley, 74, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 4:11 p.m. Fri. Dec. 19, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family while under hospice care.
He was born Dec. 27, 1950 in Gillespie, IL to the late George William and Marie (Meineke) Lindley.
On May 15, 1978, he and Beverly Kay Duncan were married in Granite City. She survives.
George was a U.S. Army veteran. Following his military service he worked as a welder for 40 years until his recent retirement from National Maintenance and Repair in Hartford, IL. In his spare time he could be found outdoors hunting for arrowheads.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Dean Cupini of Granite City, and a granddaughter, Madelynn.
Including his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Zachary and Jonas Lindley, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
